What does grass-fed whey mean?
Grass-fed describes how the dairy cows the whey comes from were raised: mostly on pasture rather than grain. Australian grass-fed whey comes from cows raised this way in Australia.
Whey protein concentrate or isolate?
Whey protein concentrate is less processed and keeps more of whey's naturally occurring components, including some lactose. Isolate is filtered further for a higher protein percentage and less lactose. Our range is Australian grass-fed whey protein concentrate.
How to choose a whey protein powder
- Protein per serve: check the nutrition panel, which lists protein per scoop.
- Price per serve: divide the price by the number of serves to compare tubs of different sizes.
- Sweetener: look for no added sugar, or natural sweeteners.
- Allergens: whey comes from milk, so it isn't suitable if you avoid dairy.
