Stainless steel cleaner Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser 737g is a cream-based formula made to lift rust stains, soap scum, tarnish and mineral buildup from hard, non-porous kitchen and bathroom surfaces without chlorine bleach or harsh scrubbing.

The Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser removes rust stains and tarnish through its oxalic acid formula, which breaks down mineral deposits that plain detergent leaves behind. This makes it useful for hard water marks on stainless steel sinks and taps, as well as light corrosion on cookware and cutlery.

The Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser applies as a gentle cream that clings to vertical and curved surfaces, unlike loose powder cleansers that can run off before they work. The softer texture lowers the risk of fine scratching on polished stainless steel, ceramic and ceramic cooktops when used with a soft cloth or sponge.

The Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser covers a wide range of hard surfaces from a single 737g bottle, including sinks, cookware, benchtops, porcelain, brass, copper and fibreglass. The phosphate-free, biodegradable base means one bottle can replace several single-purpose cleaning products under the sink.

Ingredients

The formula is water-based and contains oxalic acid dihydrate (1-5%) as the primary stain-lifting agent, alongside a C9-11 Pareth-6 surfactant, glycerin, benzenesulfonic acid and a light fragrance. Because it contains oxalic acid, gloves are recommended for sensitive skin and the product should be kept away from eyes and rinsed off within about a minute of application.
