Vocalzone Original Throat Pastilles — Frequently Asked Questions
What are Vocalzone Original Throat Pastilles?
Vocalzone Original Throat Pastilles are voice-care lozenges formulated to support a clear, strong voice for singers, performers, public speakers, teachers, broadcasters and anyone who relies on their voice. The traditional formula has been used by vocal professionals since 1912 and has remained largely unchanged for over a century.
What are the ingredients in Vocalzone Original Throat Pastilles?
Each Vocalzone Original pastille contains three traditional botanical ingredients: Myrrh Tincture (1.39% v/w), Levomenthol (1.07% w/w) and Peppermint Oil (0.54% w/w). Other ingredients include modified starch, sugar, glucose syrup, liquorice extract and natural glazing agents. The full ingredient list is printed on every pack.
Are Vocalzone Throat Pastilles vegan, gluten free and lactose free?
Yes to all three. The full Vocalzone range is registered with the Vegan Society — registration was completed in 2019 after the formula was updated to be completely vegan. Vocalzone Original Throat Pastilles are also gluten free and lactose free, suitable for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free diets.
When should I take Vocalzone Throat Pastilles — before or after performing?
Both work. Many users take a Vocalzone pastille before prolonged voice use — a performance, recording session, lecture, broadcast or long presentation. Others prefer to take one during or after. Some take them both before and after. The maximum recommended is one pastille every two hours.
How do I use Vocalzone Throat Pastilles?
Dissolve one pastille slowly in the mouth and breathe deeply. Do not chew. Repeat every two hours if required.
Who should not take Vocalzone Throat Pastilles?
Vocalzone Throat Pastilles are not suitable for:
- Children under 12 years of age
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Anyone with a known allergy to any of the listed ingredients
Vocalzone Original contains sucrose and glucose. If you have been advised by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, please consult your doctor before use.
Stop use and consult a healthcare professional immediately if you experience difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, neck, tongue or throat, or a rash.
Store below 25°C, out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.
What's the difference between Vocalzone Original and Honey & Lemon?
Both share the same core Vocalzone formula. Original has the classic, distinctive Vocalzone flavour driven by liquorice extract. Honey & Lemon offers a milder, sweeter taste with the same active ingredient profile. Both are registered with the Vegan Society and both are gluten free and lactose free. Choose Original for the traditional Vocalzone experience or Honey & Lemon for a gentler flavour.
